Many people, especially young people, often feel intimidated by the world of money and financial planning. But like it or not, our ability to earn, acquire, and manage money affects our lifestyle and the degree to which we can achieve our personal economic goals. Equipped with knowledge, skills, and experience, young people can begin to take more control over their personal financial affairs. They can set goals and start toward achieving those goals.

With generous support provided by Investors Group, CFEE has produced this publication to provide youth with information that will help them to better understand the world of money and enable them to begin to take more responsibility for their financial future.

Here's what some reviewers have said:

"Congratulations to the Canadian Foundation for Economic Education and Investors Group for producing such an excellent resource for our young students. This book comes at a time when the students, particularly those in Grades 9 and 10, are very interested in learning about money. It supplies all the up-to-date information they need regarding the influence of money as well as satisfies their curiosity as to how to go about planning for their financial future. It is written in a clear, simple, logical style. Students will have absolutely no trouble understanding the material. The graphics are very good and the layout very attractive. The activities are interesting and are appropriately placed. I am sure that teachers and students will enjoy this book. It is perfect for an Introduction to Business course."
